Default 2006 GS300 Actuator Motor - HELP PLEASE!!!

Both of my passenger doors will not currently lock or unlock with the key fob. I have to do it manually.

The Lexus dealer told me that each door needed a new actuator and the cost to repair is $1139.00. Of course, I am 2000 miles outside of my warranty. Ouch.

After a little research, it appears that all I need to try an actuator motor first. I am having trouble verifying the motor that is needed for a 3rd gen GS300.

Is this is the correct motor?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230490041099&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

I emailed the seller, but they were not sure on a 2006 model and advised me to post the question here.

Also, if anyone in Louisville, KY is want to make some money on this repair for a fair price please let me know.

Thanks for the help.

Wow it's exactly like the little electric motor you can pull out of a lot of different $1 toys.

The actuator for my trunk release also went bad and they wanted $500 for the part? I'll just stick to opening it with my key for now, could use the $$$ for other **** right now.

Default Going to the Dealer

I called Lexus and they are going to give me a 50% discount on the replacement of both actuators. I guess that is a better deal. Taking my car to the dealer on Thursday.

what sucks is that there is no standard at lexus dealerships for service. i have the exact same problem on my passenger side front door, and was quoted 700 for the parts and labor. can't understand why it's 400 more at your local stealership, but then again it's for 2 doors instead of one. either way, it's rediculous. any local shop that knows what they are about can replace with labor for 300 or so.
