Default HID troubleshoot-need help!

hey guys, so i recently decided to swap my stock HID's for some 6000K. just swapped the bulbs (not a full kit) everything was working fine for a couple weeks until last night, when i noticed the passenger side was out. turned it off and on, basically the light stays on for a few seconds then shuts off completely. tried to play around with it a bit (disconnecting/reconnecting, swapping bulbs) but no improvement. then i finally decided to put back the stock bulbs as a last resort just to see if they would work, and they work perfectly fine. could it be the stock ballast is bad?

if so, would it be better/cheaper just to buy an aftermarket kit? any suggestions and or solutions will be greatly appreciated. and as always, thanks in advance!

Try swapping the bulb that goes out to the other side. More than likely, you got some cheap bulbs.

if your stock bulbs work fine then i would say you got a set of bad bulbs

there is no "kit", just bulbs. if these bulbs are bad, get new good ones

Default Bulb Replacement

Going through the same thing now.

Changed the bulbs on my 06 GS with no problem. When I went to do the same with an 07 GS, I noticed that the passenger side buld was loose. The drivers side was snug and tight. When I turned the lights on, the passenger side went out. After three or four times of turning the lights on and off, they finally stayed on.

What can I check to correct this issue. I put the stock bulb back in and they did not fit snuggly either or anymore since it was removed, but it came on at first try.
We then swapped the passenger and drivers side bulbs (6000K) with the same results. Works fine on drivers side, goes out on passenger side. Any suggestions on where to look?
