Was that the first time you punched it in a long while, if so, it is possible you were simply cleaning out some buildup in the engine.....if it is white smoke, I worry about the head gasket

If it's white smoke, it's probably just water vapor. Haven't you noticed that almost every car on the road has that coming out the rear when it's chilly out until they've been running a while?

Also, your exhaust will smell very strongly "sweet" if you're burning coolant (head gasket), and you'll be losing coolant (check coolant level daily).

I wouldn't worry about it. Just water.

Then again, you were there and we weren't... so maybe that cloud of smoke really was of the unusual type and it wasn't just a shot of water coming out of the exhaust and vaporizing on your hot tailpipe.

lol nothing will blow up, these engines take a lot of abuse, it's just water vapor, with the weather and humidity lately, i'm not surprised... my GS would smoke from my house to the next 3-4 miles because of the humidity (that's in the garage too!)
