Default Rim Question

This question may be dumb but I'm new to the Lexus scene and don't know. What the the off set mean. I know the size and with 19x8.5 but what is a + 45 front and +50 in the rear. And will IS 18' or 19' fit a 06 GS?? The bold pattern is the same so I'm assuming yes, but need some expert advice from members who been there. Thanks

tons of information on the internet.

IS does not have 19". they are all 18s, and yes they will fit on the GS (i am pretty sure)

if you talk about 19s, maybe you mean the ones from isf. if you have gs300, yes they will fit. if you have gs430, no they won't, they don't clear the calipers

this is probably a noob question too, but i was wondering if 20x8.5 wheels would fit on a 06 AWD GS that is stock. Would it fit and not mess up the TPMS or anything else?

Dying for these bbs rs-gt diamond black finish 20". So classy and would match the flint mica paint, just need to get this $$ up first.

20x8.5 is fine depending on the offset.

38mm offset. is that fine?

And another question. Ive been reading how people put larger width wheels in the back than the front (ie front 20x8.5 back 20x9.5). What is the purpose of that?

Apologies in advanced bc i noticed the person up top who asked a similar question, but i did not get the answer i was looking for in those links. Thanks!

yes 38 will be fine.

staggered is just for more traction. not really recommended on the awd though.

Yes, I'd trust Tire Rack

Sorry to ask such a similar question again but..

1) Would 20 x 9.5 wheels fit the gs 06.

2) would those wheels with the car lowered 1 inch affect the tpms and the ride?

3) Also can anyone recommend springs so the car will still have that Lexus feel and not be so rough.

tpms monitor the tire pressure in the tire unless you put tire sensors in your new wheels and program then to the car (which the dealer has to do) or you can take the sensors out of your factory wheels and have them put in to the new wheels. If you don t do this the tpms light will eventually come on and become aggrevating! as far as lowering im lowered and inch on stagger fitteds 22s and the ride is near factory granted bumps are more harsh, but i did extensive fender mods and had to cut plastic out of my wheel wells. 20s won t take as much mod work unless you lower further than an inch good luck

you can get cv1 to fit, they have some offset selections so you don't need fender work

if your staying with a 8.5 all around i would say a 38mm would work good. also for 20s you want a 245/30/20. people run 245/35s just for a little extra cushion but they run into rubbing problems on sharp turns.
