Default What is this plastic part?

Hi all, I found this part in my trunk when I purchased the car new and I still can't figure out what it is for. I initially thought it was a piece that snaps onto the front seat rails from the rear, but they're all there. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

Interesting that would be in the trunk.
I can not tell for sure, but it looks like the right side end piece of the cowl. The cowl is the plastic piece between your hood and windshield. Take a look and see if yours is missing or if it matches the one that is there.
Hope this helps.

Wow! Pretty impressive. Maybe we should start a new thread called "name that part"?

Maybe it was pulled due to the infamous dash squeek? Or not put back after the TSB was performed...?

If the car was new maybe the dealer was proactive on the TSB....

it looks like it might cover the mounting bracket on the front seat sometimes people in the back seat can knock them off
