Default Not pedal problem but acceleration issue

I never put too much attention to it before, but after learning about the toyota pedal issues, I thought i'd just post this. I know the pedal problem doesn't affect our cars, but I have from time to time, experienced continued acceleration even though my foot has released pressure off the gas. It's a slight uptick, maybe for a split second or so, but yeah, nothing i can't keep under control so i'm not worried. Is this happening only to my car??

I haven't, but my V8 doesn't have as complex a drivetrain as yours. The hybrid could have some issues like if the electric motor is out of sequence with the throttle then what you are describing could happen.

Time to fix your hybrid, sucka.

GS430 '06 V8 and I don't believe I feel this acceleration. Usually I let my car slides.

Look at your tachometer with the rpm. Sometimes you press down the gas a bit hard and release it, the gears will downshift to give you more acceleration power for a bit when you release the accel pedal faster. It is normal. Nothing major. I get that occasionally if i press down the pedal and then release it too fast for the engine to respond due to drive by wire there is a downshift and a small lag with a bit of accleration for a 1/10th of a second which is very rarely on my GS300 AWD.

he doesn't have a tach, it's a GS450h (ie: CVT transmission).

That's what i'm talking about. I guess it's just an inherent drawback with drive by wire. Never understood the need for that...unecessarily complicating an otherwise simple system.

When I first got my car I had a very large gap from when I floored it to when it would respond .. it was a software issue I think..

I would check out that avenue ..
