I guess its possible you could have moisture on the lens from the temp changes and the car sitting?
swapping the ballast would be a ***** without taking the headlight out. its directly under the headlight so you would have to go from under the car or atleast remove the front bumper.

I have the same problem with the lights!!! I got into a car accident and **** up my entire front. The body shop told me the lights he bought were from Lexus and they come as one piece and they just install it. Sagikun makes a very good point. I took my car back to the body shop twice already to re-fix body work that they didnt do so well after having my car in the shop for 1 1/2 months (front bumper was dropping, gaps around the headlights, etc) I will be taking it again because what I told him to fix was not completely fixed.

I'll try and give some updates when I take it to him a third time. (Insurance paid 10k in parts and 5k in labor so he better get my **** perfect!)
