I'm in no hurry to get it put on. I hate spending too much money so close together. Just bought wheels and tires in Oct. Got the kit but it costs a grip to install. I'll wait a few weeks.
If you don't have the necessary tools and experience in autobody, don't prep it yourself, that's the most important factor.
I would only do it under the direction and watchful eye of a pro. I did it many years ago but don't remember the process. I looking for a shop that will let me come in to do the prep at his shop. If I find one I'll get it done right away. If not I'll wait until Jan to let someone do the whole thing for me. The shop that did my last kit install charges $800....but they do really good work.
