Default new gs owner- electronic issues

hello all,
I have had my 06 gs430 for almost 2 months now and have a few questions about some things that have recently happened

1st- my bluetooth has worked flawlessly from day 1 for me. however recently while i have been on the phone and a call comes in on the other line if i didnt answer the other line the speaker in the car goes quiet. the people i am talking to say they still hear me but i cant hear them on the dash speaker. is this a common issue? it didnt do it at all until the last week and the phone hasnt changed at all either. is there a setting that should be changed?

2nd- i recently activated the parking sensor system and have noticed that at various times while not close to anything at all the beeping will start and show on the nav screen where there is something supposedly close and there will be nothing within 20 feet of the sensors. is there a way of adjusting the sensitivity on the system?

3rd- when i bought the car it had a directed Sirius module and it sounded great. i wanted to change to xm and went with the new vais tech and now it seems to sound different. it isnt as clear and i didnt know if maybe there was an installation issue or is this a common complaint with vais or xm in general? is there a difference between sirius and xm or is it possibly a difference in manufacturer since i had to change from directed to vais tech to go with xm?

thanks for all you guidance and comments

seems like your out of warranty...maybe disconnect your battery and click your heels 3 times , wait ten minutes pump your brake 5 times the your gas pedal 8 times and plug your battery back in everything will reset. besure to drive your car 10 miles at full throttle while in neutral this will reset all your vtec settings too....or you can give

strange for sure, you may want to look in your set up to see if it still has any older settings in there for another phone, if so blow those away, you can also try to unpair and then repair your cell to the system to see if that fixes it. Is this an IPhone perhaps?

sounds like a faulty sensor, is it always one area, or does it do this all the way around, if its one area then that may be easier to diagnose.

cant speak to this issue, other than they should both sound good if they are connected correctly

thanks for all you guidance and comments

xxxx....thanks for the smartass remark...a good laugh in the morning always helps. i will keep you posted as to how that works out for me!

as far as warranty it has 93k more miles of warranty. I am just attempting to find out if these are common issues as it seems like all dealers deal with issues differently. this car has been into the dealer 3 times since mid october for other issues. having owned over 20 toyota supras and various other toyota models it isnt what i am used to in a toyota. i know its new technology and all but it is still different to be having issues with a toyota brand.

trying to learn this car as I had a nissan for the past 5 yrs and new it from top to bottom. need to get there with the new gs too. it is great to have a forum to be able to use as a resource.

thanks

mike

For bluetooth I find that the phone you're using has a big impact on how well it plays with the car. Try a different phone first before blaming the car.

For parking sensors, the sensitivity can be adjusted by lexus for a fee... but it shouldn't be THAT sensitive. The display should show you the direction of the object it's detecting are you sure that it's not seeing something to left or right? Mine will also detect pedestrians if they walk too close to my car - my car goes ape**** on pedestrians since I live in downtown toronto. Apart from that I would take a look at the sensors, do they appear to all be seated correctly and flush with the bumper? I wonder if one got a little loose and is pointing at the ground.

thanks for the comments everyone. Keep them coming as I will be taking it to the dealer here before years end and want to have an idea as to what to expect.
