for whatever reason I cant seem to get a good shot of the throw the fogs and HIDs put off..
The first pict is on a very dark street, there is a built in flash on the Nikon D80, but it really only splashes the hood the rest is HID and PIAA Fogs.. the second is just a shot straight on so you can see the color temp better . The driving lights are LEDs which explains the bluish tint
I would say that most people would be happy with the PIAAs for the Fogs, They add to the nice white and bright lower light, but the biggest difference was replacing the 3 year old HIDs. All in all Im content with the light output. Im sure HIDs for the fogs would help some, but honestly they are just for fill, if I wanted to really fill in the HIDs I would upgrade the driving lights to the side of the HIDs, as they are really just show, not much of a bulb compared to the high beams under them.
Thanks for the input everyone. Yes, I agree the fogs are mostly cosmetic...which is why I want them to match the stock headlights a little better. IMO the GS looks pretty cool drivin' down the road with the fogs on. Is it in agreement that I shouldn't have a problem with heat replacing the bulbs with PIAA superwhites? Anyone have problems?
Thanks!
HID fogs will be more than cosmetic, it will light up the road. If you dont want to spend that much, I would go with LED instead of PIAA. PIAAs are painfully over priced.
