Default Lorenzo Rims...

What do you guys think of these, I found a pretty good price for them. My main question is, I have an AWD GS, would 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 be a problem on my car. I cracked a rim yesterday and am looking a new ones for next spring.

you want a 245/30/20 up front and a 285/25/20 for the rear. also staggered wheels arent really recommended for awd. those 2 tire sizes are close but not exact.

Thanks, I heard that before. So if I am looking for a nice size lip, I would have to get the same size all around? Lets say if i wanted 9.5 (thats the lip right?) i would get 245/35/20 all the way around. I see alot of rims 20x8.5, 20x9.5, 20x10ect... Thanks in advance. Do you guys know if Lorenzo and Giovanna are good quality. My Katana's cracked after a year, got the whole set with tires for $1500, I guess u get what you pay for. The Vossen's are really nice, but as many of you know, I only roll Chromes and i know that Vossen doesn't carry them yet.

i dont think a 245/35/20 would fit on a 9.5" wide rim. you need a 245/30/20 up front for like a 8 or 8.5" wide rim.

the stocks look good for winter, but way to small for me in the spring and summer. Need at least 20, lol.

9.5 is to wide for the front you might be able to go 9 with the right offset 8.5 is what i have on the front and a 9.5 in the rear but i have 22s for a 20 you can probrably go 10 or 10.5in the rear but i would stay 8.5 in the front; front 245/30/20 rear 285/25/20 will keep you at the same overall diameter as your factory wheels and if you stagger fit the awd you won t be the first to do so i understand that the diameter of the wheel is more important not to change than the width and lorenzo and giovanna are a nice wheel vossens are too they re all one piece wheels

not really my style but what IXI187IXI recommended in terms of sizing is close if you run a staggered setup...just off by a couple of millimeters, which probably won't cause any harm.

Thanks guys for all the help, its much appreciated.

Ikapimp-thanks for the explanation, that makes sense.

Lims407-I'm always looking man, i just cracked one of my Chrome ones this weekend, the crack is small and i'm going to see if it can be repaired, but just incase it can't, i'm looking around.

Another question for you guys, i seen some Forged rims from Giovanna and Lorenzo, Forged means that they are made stronger, but still a one piece? I'm finding great deals on these rims, maybe because winter is here. I found a few sets new on some discounted sites for around 2000-2400.

pretty much correct.

The ultimate in one-piece wheels. Forging is the process of forcing a solid billet of aluminum between the forging dies under an extreme amount of pressure. This creates a finished product that is very dense, very strong and therefore can be very light. The costs of tooling, development, equipment, etc., make this type of wheel very exclusive and usually demand a high price in the aftermarket.
if you are going to spend about 2400 on wheels, i still say you get vossen wheels chrome dipped. you can find a new set used and then just get them dipped.

also where in jersey are you? i took my wheels to a guy in jersey in burlington and he did a great job fixing some curb rash. he also does cracked rims too.

Thanks IXI187IXI, I'm in Bergen County. Hackensack area. I went to Action Tire on Rt.46 for my brothers Cracked rim and they sent it out to a place in PA, but they couldn't fix it, I was going to try the same with mine unless you know of a better place. Also, the style of the Vossen rims are my favorite, do you know how much getting them dipped in chrome is and any places that do it. I called a Vossen dealer here in NJ, i think it was a shop in Elizabeth and they told me its not worth it and to expensive because they have to strip the wheel down and I should just get polished lip with silver spokes, I told them I'm really only interested in buying chrome right now. If you have more info on the dipping, let me know. Thanks in advance.

You can run 9.5 up front....I'm running:

20x9.5 +31 R-Disc with 245-30-20

20x11 +32 A-Disc with 285-25-20

If you have an AWD, I would recommend running the same size wheel/tire all the way around, but run a lower offset in the back. That way, you can have a larger lip in the rear, but keep the sizing the same.

you mean 245/30 mark?

in order to do that though with the offset, your pretty much talking about a custom wheel built to your specs. i dont think the op wants to drop that kind of cash on wheels.

theres a place in bellmore, ny that chrome dips wheels. dont know how much they charge though.
