how long do the oem ones last? in miles?

I had 54k miles on my original rear pads when I changed them out but probably could have gotten another 5k miles out of them.

Change every 15k miles if you aint cheap :P.

that is a waste of money, you do know there is the same surface area in a pad as it wears down....

mine went about 55k miles

What is official Lexus recommendation? Mines are squeaking squealing screeching at 32K :@

i just had mine changed about 1k ago. the pads failed

not sure how long the original owner had them on the car but the pads had atleast 18k on them.

Did the dealership replace them for you for a fee or did you have to pay a pro-rated cost? I just bought a 2007 GS350 and it has a little under 18k miles and the back brakes are squealing every time I turn on the car and go in reverse....it goes away after a while, but that should not be happening on brake pads at 18k miles!!!!

Any thoughts/help?

i had same problem as ap0718, brakes were squealin when started the car and went reversed...went dealer today put in new pads for free...adviser told me it was under warranty...

I believe there was a tsb for the pin in the rear brakes, anyway i have 42k on my original brakes and 22s getting ready though

Lims407 - Thanks! I'm gonna make an appointment with the dealer in the next week or so! Let's see what happens.
