Default Interior Lights very dim

Is there any way to brighten the interior lights? They are sooooo dim. I wish I could somehow mod them to be brighter. Let me know if it’s been done before.

Thanks.

Which lights are you referring to? The dash lights? The ambient lights? The spot/map lights?

I personally don't think the ambient lights are too dim. That's what they are for. Just subtle ambient lighting.

I too think the steering wheel lights are way too dim. At first I thought they weren't even working!

Steering lights are very dim also, I will be talking to the service department about it and see if they can somehow fix it. However, the interior lights (the ones the turn on when you get in the car) are very low. Even the spot lights do not work that well. If you drop something on the floor in the evening; good luck finding it.

I am thinking of tapping into the wires that control those light and maybe add another source of light right next to them. However, anything I come up with has to be in good taste.

I can completely understand what you mean. These LEDs are very focused on the one area. A true 'spot' light.

Someone had a post on changing out those LEDs to brighter one, it was not easy since they are soldier on a circuit board.

Flip the visor down and slide open the mirror. That will give you lots of light!
