Hey Guys, I want to know if you guys have any sugguestions on some nice rims for the GS3 with no lip. I want to try something different on my next set. I might buy a new set soon. I am basically looking for 5 star chrome rims that extend all the way out with no lip. If I cannot find those, I am also really feelin the Traffic Star chrome STRs. Please give me some opinions and maybe even some pics. I currently have 20" Chrome Katana Destiny's with mild lip.

 

Any particular reason as to why you don't want any lip?

 

not really a big reason, I think it gives a car a sporty clean look sometimes when the spokes extend all the way out and also makes the rim look bigger. I have absolutely nothing against big lips either, i might also sway that way as well, just wanted to maybe see some pics of rims with no lips possibley on a GS3.

I believe TSW makes a five star rim with no lip. You might want to check out the modification section because there was a car that was rocking those and it looked good.

I contacted Weds and they said they're not making that wheel anymore, so good luck finding it anywhere.

 

The lip adds an entire new dimension to the wheel. I wouldnt mess with it. I know the manufactueres have been introducing some new lip less wheels, but they are not selling very well. Deep dish wheel became popular because they look amazing.

 

The MRR HR2 aren't bad 5 star wheels. I like when the back rims are wider and the 5 star wheels in the rear bend in a little more.

 

I agree with you even though mine have a lip. I think wheels without a lip look just as good, I think the lip has the ability to make a car VIP or agressive, but no-lip set ups are cleaner IMO

 

All I can say it wow, those rims are beautiful, almost all of them. I do agree with both sides, the lip makes it more aggressive and stand out and the no lip gives it more a clean OEM look.. The rims you guys posted look amazing. I'm really feeling the wheels posted by IXI187IXI, I would love to get something like them in chrome. That black GS looks amazing...Do you guys know what kit he has on that?
