That was another burning question I was thinking about. Swapping out your stock wheels to larger ones affect MPGs that much? I have OEM 17" wheels thinking about 19s or 20s.
it will be affected but not that much. with stock wheels i was getting 28+, and with my 20s it dropped to about 27 i think (overall). now of course, with larger wheels, car is slower so some people tend to press on the gas even more to "achieve" the same performance as before, and that will easily jack down the mpg further

well, conscious driving i would say. i had to drive 120 miles a day so i was trying to find some fun from driving. learning when to accelerate, when to let go of gas, etc... and it was fun seeing the gas mileage going up
agreed, on any long trip cruise control is a must. i have a staggered setup, and from what i have read, that will affect the gas mileage dramatically. they are heavy too. kinda bummed that it was so much though. driving to NC friday; i'll post how things go on the way down, and on the way back after i clean my air filter. i'm hoping that helps
my average tank range shows 388, down from roughly 405 since i put on the 20's. took it easy on the way to work this morning - 70mph on the highway and 65 on the other roads (many stoplights though). got 26mpg even. was very light on the gas/acceleration though.
