Default vs xx - please dont flame me

i need some advice
im thinking about getting some vs xx in black, but the only problem is that my gs 350 is a daily and the roads here are pretty bad, so i know if i go bigger there is more potential of damaging my rims

Another thing, i dont know if i want to drop my car,
so can anyone tell me what are some good offsets, that are not too aggressive,, but more aggressive than OEM

i was thinking about
18x8.5 +40R
18X10 +38A
with tires that wont raise the car

pics would be helpful
thank you

if you're not lowering the car, then you should go with 19's. Just buy thicker tires and your rims should be safe.

19's ftw, theres no point in investing $$$$ in 18in works for your lexus. 19 would be the minimum, or 20's.
Heck, since youre not lowering the car you should actually get 20's to compensate for the gap.

18"?????? Dude are you kidding. That is going to look very weird. Kind of pricey wheels to go with the standard wheel size

I agree with everyone as well, i would do at least 20's with a thicker tire, like a 35, I did this for a whole year before I lowered the car and the car rode stock and the 35's took the bumps very well. You will be fine with 20's at stock height.

100% WASTE of money if you get 18's. not only would you be wasting money.......your car wouldnt even look good. if you want a little more meaty tire, go with 19's but i have a feeling you'll regret it. 20's is the way to go on this car.

and our CA roads aren't actually that bad. to be honest, they are better than most states. i think it seams like our roads are crappy cuz Cal-Trans is always working on them but many other states' roads never get worked on at all. those are bad roads.

not to be stealing this thread but I was also wanting to get the VS-XX's. I can't decide between 19s or 20s. What are the tire sizes that alot of people are running on 19's and 20s without any fender mods? also what is the ideal offset and width for 19s and 20s without any fender mods? Thanks!
