i thought about doing mine in black when i got the window trim done.
after seeing 1sicklex's teaser with the grille and the black trim around the grille, im disappointed that i didnt go through with doing the grille and the headlights.

DJ,
I was considering doing that on my car because its silver. Will you change the color of the car to silver so I can see if I still want to do it.
Thx.

I saw a someone in this forum with a Matador do the blackout of the all the chrome trims, if i am not mistaken including the window trims.
IMO, this mod is a bit tricky- it does not work for all. If not done right it makes the car look like a Scion.
...Notice how the Axis Five GS photo was enhanced to give some "shadow" effect on the lights, grilles; but if you look at your photoshopped smoky GS the blackout effect does not give the same effect.

no need to paint, just do black vinyl wrap. then later if you wish to have the chrome back, you can just peel the vinyl off...voila, back to stock.
my buddy has been bugging me to do this mod; i'm still debating whether it would look good on my car.

i'm gonna chop a color-matched trim when i get the time.
i've got a mental image, but we'll see how it looks on paper.
done right, it would def look much sportier
