Default Where to Mount Valentine 1?

Hi guys I just received the Valentine 1 that I purchased and I wanted to know where is the best spot to place it in a GS 350 for the best results. Also is it better to have it installed into the cars electrical system or is hooking up to the lighter sufficient?

Thanks

I have mine hooked up on the right top side of the rear view mirror. No wires u can see, and i have concealed display right behind the wiper switch. U cant see the display until u start the car and steering column comes out. CONCEALED FTW!

I don't have pics of mine....But I purchased a "mirror mount" that I found on the corvetteforum and love it!! Here's a link to a thread with a pic to give you an idea... I have a GS460 and had to bend it a little here and there so it lined up nice, but it turned out great in the end with a nice clean install and no "suction cup" spots on the window... No vibrations either..

click on corvette items I think... just scroll down for C6 V1 mounting bracket....

na I was just playing around having fun. I have done what you did on my last few cars and had seen this in the past. Its great because the radar doesnt visibly show and unless the car is on you would never know I had radar. Even at that my car is pretty low so someone would really have to bend over to see the mirror and the lights flashing. Best part is I didnt have to modify anything. It all fit perfectly

If you're on a budget, check this out: http://www.countryjoycrafts.com/350Z/valentinemount.htm

I have one in my Z (kinda useless since I've only put 400 miles in the past year) and one in the GS.

If you want the ultimate setup, you can do what Mike did. Mike, still waiting to see if you were able to determine the 12V and ground source wiring on your setup.

Thanks Vuiskool. That looks great and discreet. Also I saw the other receiver you have by the wiper switch and what is that for as you already have one mounted by the rear view mirror? The one I purchased only came with 1 receiver.

as u might not been able to see, its a concealed display sold by v1 on their site. I got it for 50 bucks and it displays everything by the steering wheel so i dont have to look up and increase the risk of an accident. It doesn't light up on the top which is also better so people behind u cant see and cops cant see it light up, which has happened to me and the cop pulled out a laser, as a joke.

Thanks Vuiskool. I just got my V1 wired in to the electrical system today for 42 bucks. So if I purchased the concealed display would it be difficult to install or would I have to take it to a car audio store again to hook it up?

Well idk, you could have done the wiring into ur electrical system urself. The concealed display is plug and play, you need to plug it into the adapter. (your adapter should be smaller)
The adapter should have two phone cord slots, one says main and the other says Accessory. Then from there all u need to do is hide the wire.
