Exclamation f-sport 19" or 18" please help!!!

guys quick question for those who might know/help, spoke to sewell lexus and debating which one to get for my awd gs they said a 19x9 will fit gs350 awd, as long as its 19x9 all the way around, can anyone confirm? also what do you think about going 19x9 in the back and 19X8 front? will it mess the awd? or should just be safe and go 18x8 all the way around? anyone can photochop it? f sport doesnt have any lowering springs for the awd models do you think they will look stupid on a not dropped awd gs?

thank u all in advance!

Yes they will all fit. IMO just get 19x9 in all 4 corners and have the luxury to rotate the tires. The slight difference wont make much difference.

It is recommended you stay the same size all around on AWD b/c the computer detects slippage and if wheels are a different size/weight it can affect the computer's decisions

the key with staggered setup on awd cars is to maintain very close overall diameters. as long as your rolling diameters are close, then the system won't really know what's going on. with that said, if you get 8 and 9, off the top of my head, i don't know what's best. 245/35 and 275/30? but 275 on 9 seems too fat

I believe on either Sewell's website or Lexus's website the recommended tire sizes for the 19" staggered wheels are 225/40/19 and 255/35/19.

I would stay with what Lexus (Sewell) suggested. 19 or 18 all four corners with the same width. Why bother to change it after the dealer told you what to do? If without a drop (which is common for AWD 3GS), I'd probably get the 19 instead.

I don't like the look of the f-sport wheels maybe if you have brakes or something the only thing that I like is the $1300 or rough price. I think the work wheels look a lot better

its really up to you. there are people running staggered setups on AWD's. you can get them very close like rominl mentioned. its up to you if you want to chance it or not.

my personal opinion is it will look a bit silly not lowered. you can use the f sport springs on the awd if you like (all your doing is swapping spring). Alot of AWD owners are using springs designed for the RWD since thats all thats out.

it says on Sewell's website for the 19" wheel set that they are staggered, but in the size drop down box it's 19x8. there may not be any choice but to go staggered. then sticking with the tire size Lexus recommends becomes more important.

EDIT: Sewell emailed me back and said the AWD are not staggered and all four wheels would be 19x8.

wow...19x8's on all fours....definatley would need a drop...especially an awd. aren't they going to run you a couple g's for those f-sport wheels? road magnet does make a spring for the awd's. i think retro had them on his awd...then made the switch to the nf's. very curious on how the drop looks with the f-sport springs on the awd.

from what I've read, the Tanabe will give a little bit more of a drop...however Tanabes may void your suspension warranty. Also, good luck getting Lexus to honor any sort of warranty on an AWD with the F-sport RWD springs installed.
