If its RHD its a Nissan Skyline. It is clean but goodness the window line is nearly identical to the GS.

This GS has its window trim painted or covered.

IS-F with it gone

I believe Flipside909 told us its painted on this one

IXI187IXI did it to his GS

GS F-sport show car

Just use vinyl to black the chromes out, I did that with my S500 (had them on over 3 years without any issue)!!!

DING, Just got a DIY idea for "OPERATION NO CHROME"!!!

I think we can try to use the window tint film to "black out" the chromes, as you have mentioned rear door has a big azz piece of chrome...

Since we can just roll the entire film over the chrome area and cut out the extras, this way it would looked vary professional without cut & paste or overlapping the film!!!

use a larger piece for the rear part of the door. the chrome trim is broken up into multiple pieces around the door so that provides a good start and stopping point. its hard to explain but look at your trim, you'll see what i mean

WOW! Those breaks look nice!!!!

I searched and found a pic of someone who taped theirs off to get an idea of how it would look.

Has anyone done this and if so, do you have pics? Is this part easily removable?
Hey cool..that is my picture and my car. I did mask it off with blackout tape to see how it looked, but I didn't keep it on so I cannot comment on how it would hold up. But I think it looks cool!

I think the chrome looks good. Black Pearl chrome would be good too. It would be important to match the chrome around the windows with the chrome on the lower panels, grille, and emblems.

Where would one get black pearl chrome? And any idea how much it would cost?

if you like, you can also use plastidip to give the trim the matte look. it takes a little more time than doing vinyl though.

Thumbs up Here is the cheapest fastest and non per way to go

I know this thread is pretty old.... and you all may have already heard or used this method, so this is for the owner whom has not. Its called Plasti-dip.

Here is my GS before and after, took me about 2 hours to do the window trim, grill, around the head lights, lower door trim, all badging. Go to youtube and search for Dip Your Car, it will take you step by step.

I just vinyled all my chrome with 3M scotchprint Gloss Black vinyl.

If anyone is interested in where I bought the vinyl, I bought it at this website.

Too much shiny chrome crap on a car makes it look south of the border IMO. I'd rather have LESS chrome than what the GS has. I'm not into shiny chrome wheels either though. Everybody has different taste.
