Open cut holder in the gs350-something stuck
I have something stuck, when I open th cover to the cup holder, it opens like half way. how can I take the door cover off the center cup holder?

dang bro...you don't seem to have any luck with your cupholder area...didn't you have that meltdown happen in your cupholder? where something left an impression in the cupholder. hope you get it resolved. take care. (could it be something sticky at the hinge from keeping your cover from opening fully....possibly splashed coffee or a soft drink or maybe the spring is shot.)

put the shifter in N, pull up the shift place starting from the back side (close to armrest). see if that's enough clearance for you to gain access to take out whatever stuck. if you need to take out the whole thing, you might want to take out the plastic piece underneath the radio unit first

OMG. I can't believe you remembered that. No.. Lexus didn't fix it, nor did I. Still don't know what melted it.

Oh my, doesn't sound easy. Weird there's no way to just pop the flip cover off. I would say it opens about 80%. Just enough so I can't put my can of Soda. It's nothing sticky in there. The door literally stops at about 80% open. I'm guessing a penny or something must've fell in where the door goes into.

K. I took your word for it. Never took off the center "wood" cover before. Had to remove the shift ****. Then I noticed the whole cup holder came up with the wood piece. Crap, I thought I had to take it completly out. Then I heard a "tink" and the coin fell out ... into the center console are and lost forever. Oh well. At least my cup holder works again. Thanks!

....now star take it out again and go to the dealer and do a switch-a-roo since they're that easy to take out. then your melted cupholder is fixed. j/k
glad you got it fixed.

I took my panel off because I got tired of not being able to use it. I found a cigarette lighter keeping mine from opening. Not only that, at the back of the opening, I found wrapped candy stuck at the bottom,.. took me for ever trying to get all that sticky stuff out... previous owners spilled coffee or something down in there also. I have no clue how I'm gonna clean that guck out of my console.. it caused my heat switch to stick slso. They must have spilled something on that too...I'm gonna try and pray it with some Crc QD electronic cleaner... I hope I don't damage the switch... smh....
