Default How much should I be charged......roughly

I will get my new rotors and pads for front and rear soon. Simple R & R job I guess. How much should I expect a shop to charge me for that. I don't have the tools or room to do it with my friend. Also, how much is an OK price for painting the calipers after I do that if I take it to a paint shop or a guy I know who can spray them ot for me and put the decals on?

And independent shop or Lexus dealership? There would be a huge price difference.

questions like these are hard to answer and really depend on your area. different places charge different prices so its hard to say what one person may charge. best bet is to call around and just get several quotes. if you want an example, the shop across from my work wanted 180 to replace and install front pads (which included the pads).

Hmm, makes sense. And you are right, it depends on the area. I just don't want to get ripped off. First thing that comes to mind when shops see a lady going in is $$, seen it many times. She doesn't know much, she must has lots of many, she would just say yes to any price, and so on........ You guys are more of hustlers.

Called one and he said $150 to paint them and put the decals on. He is supplying the paint of course.

some places wont even touch the car if you bring in your own parts to be installed.

Ya, that's what they told me. I guess I'll have to find someone I know to do it, got a couple of friends. Now with regard the paint. One guy said it will only be one coat for the calipers. What if he doesn't use clear coat after the decals? Is the clear coat a must?

I'd personally do 2-3 coats of color + at least one coat of clear.
