Default Incorrect offset?

Ok, just got wheels put on yesterday and it appears that I may have gotten the incorrect offsets. Any help would be great. They are Vossen VVS083's. Can others please share what offsets they got?

as you can see from the pics below the rear wheel is sticking out the side of the car, i was researching for a drop and came across this. It appears that if I lower the car the rear fender will sit right on the tire...

Please excuse my nubness on this.

Thank you!

Pics: (sorry for the dirty ride, rain wont stop here)

when you lower it the tires will suck in from the negative camber.

1. best place to start is what is the offset of the rims and what size tires do you have, what others have doesnt mean it will work for you. Many things go into making it all work

2. what do you plan to drop the car? 1 - 2 " with springs or lower on coils??

I'm awaiting a response from Jav at Vossen for the offset that they gave me. I'm sure they gave me the correct one, but the rear wheel just sticks out so much...

Tire size is 245/35 up front and 285/30 out back.

I was planning on doing the NF210 drop with stock struts and camber kit.

Thanks for the help passnu you have one sweet ride

You can see here the lip of the rear wheel is sticking out. This has to be incorrect offset correct?

there are no camber kit available for our GS; there is something called 'you zealand' (?) that works like a camber kit, but you need to have coilovers for those.

i'm surprised you didn't do more research to determine your wheel offset; worst case scenario for you, you may have to roll your fenders

I dont see the fenders needing to be rolled but it all depends on the drop you go with. I think the rears are right where they should be! nice and flush but once you lower you will loose that. I am sure they took all you wanted into consideration. They know what they are doing. I have seen many cars they have done on the boards.

Post us back that info and what you want to do with the drop and there are plenty here that can help you out. worst case you shave/roll the rears and call it a day

^ i don't know mike, the OP is planning on dropping on nf210 springs (what i have); i don't think nf210 will camber enough to prevent rubbing against the wheelwell (but i could be wrong). maybe if the OP was dropped on df210 or coilovers, then yeah, i would agree with you. but the drop on nf210 is approx 1 inch or there abouts...very mild drop. is it enough negative camber to prevent rubbing?

its going to look real nice...after you drop the car..it will be flush...you might have to mod the rears a little but i think it looks a lot better that way...

Ok update on the offsets. I didn't really pay attention because Vossen has done a lot of wheels here and the shop I went to is a really good feature rim shop, so I expected them to do the correct thing for me, which it looks like they did.

Front 20x9 +38
Rear 10x10.5 +45

Looks like I have the max offset for the rear to pull the tires in. I think the higher the number the closer the wheel is to the car correct? So I should be good, worst case fender roll?

I am looking for the low end drop NF210.

What is entailed with a fender roll and can anyone recommend a shop here in Tampa, FL area?

Thanks for the help guys!!

with the +45 on the rear and the drop of 1" or more I think you should be fine. Plus you are 285 so you have some slight stretch to the tire and that will also help.

Looking forward to the pics when you have it all done

Your offsets are safe. I have 20x10 in the rear with an offset of 41 I believe. They stuck out more then that, but after the drop they are not even close to rubbing. Car full of 6 people... adults.

yeah, with those offsets you should be fine. without knowing the offset in the beginning AND your pics looking like it would rub, it was easy it think there would be rubbing issues. glad to hear everything will be OK. looking forward to some nice pics!
