It happened to me once when I was driving my best friend around after he came into town to visit. It was embarrassing because he is a lover of German cars.

lol thats funny. my american car lovers used to always make fun of my tc (funny because my car was actually made in america, his gto is australian) every time it made the slightest noise, but i sold my tc for more than 2/3 its original price, he is trying to get 3/10 of his original price right now and cant even get that, who's laughing now??Originally Posted by I8ABMR

but my light came on today too, i was worried that it had something to do with my staggered wheels on awd. glad to hear its probably just a fuel cap. I'll go to toyota (I gave up on my lexus dealer) today and figure it out.
does anyone have the part number handy?
also, does anyone know if this would be considered powertrain warranty?>

So here is the what the dealer reported on my service ticket per my last post.
Check Engine Light on
Trac Light
VSC Light
Found code: P0301 Misfire cylinder #1
Found code: P0302 Misfire Cylinder #2
Noted carbon buildup on valves and injectors during campaign
Decarboned Cylinder #1 and #2 Valves
Also had the Recall done:
