AC Mystery
On the weekend we had temperatures over 90s in the Bay Area. My wife had complained that AC was not able to cool off the car on auto mode in 10-15 minutes. The fans were blowing mildly cooler air and this is it. I did test it as well and it did not work as the temperature in the car was close to 100 (black and gray interior). I did visit dealer today with the temperatures outside being at 55, and AC was working OK in auto mode. The dealer recommended come back on the warm day as they see no problem with my AC as of today. It does look to my as my AC was/is not working properly as my other older Lexuses will "freeze passengers and water" after 5 minutes in auto mode. Did anybody have this problem before? Any input from TX, AZ or FL drivers? Thanks in advance for any info on that subject. (06 GS 430)
my car is freaking cold too (when needed). when it's 100s outside, the air from AC vents are literally cold. everything on auto except i set it to always recycle.
if it's 80s outside, you put the temperature to LO, and it's still not cold air, then bring it in, something isn't right. either the thermometer or something else

I have noticed that my car also take a few minutes to cool down, but my car is dark colored. I complained of this last summer and they told me all was ok. I will mention it again if it happens as the temps in AZ climb. Its mid may and we are already in the 100's. Its going to be a bad summer this year
