Default Need help with Wheel selection

Just got a 2006 GS300 40k miles, very clean sweet ride with all the bells and whistles.

My first purchase will be a set of wheels. I'm looking for 20's Staggerd.

I was initially looking at Vossen's, Very nice wheel, but sizing is a bit on the large side coming in at 20x9 front & 20x10.5 rear.

The quote came in a little high on these though.

I also looked at the XIX21's:

Quote came in much much lower and the sizing is good as well with the 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear.

Right now im leaning on the XIX's but wanted to post my findings here to see I missed anything from other vendors.

Also, how do the XIX's stand up, does anybody currently have a set that they could comment on?

Thanks!

ive seen the finish on those vossens in person, it really does have a quality brushed finish. the XIX's (well at least the ones i've seen) don't have the same brushed finish, it looks more like a polished finish. i'm leaning towards the vossens personally, the bolts between the spokes aren't as 'loud' but i feel the vossens have more of a mature/commanding presence.

LOL! that's what happens when you start a trend, everybody follows!

to OP: of the 2 choices, i'd go with vossen. i'm surprised that the vossen you want don't come in 20x8.5 and 20x10? that's a fairly standard wheel size; i'd contact vossen directly and ask if the particular wheel size you want is available. vossen wheels is an approved CL vendor here, send him a PM to inquire.

lol, I had no clue there was a trend here. I just liked the multi-spoke wheel because the factory wheels on my car are multi-spoke and I liked the look. Actually it was a pretty obvious choice once I noticed it.

Thanks for the help guys, although I think im going with the XIX's. Don't get me wrong I love the Vossens, but I am not too happy with the size and the higher $$. Maybe next time around.

I did contact the manufacturer and they do not make any wheel in a 20x10. You can also check their sizes on the website.

I hope to hit the rim shop this week, i'll keep you all posted with pics.

I say go with Vossen.

FYI- our wheels come with a 4 year warranty. You can't go wrong with that.
