Default GS460 Performance Exhaust

I was checking out the IS-F forum and all the exhaust options they have for their car. I especially like the Joe-Z exhaust that is a true dual exhaust. I have searched the 3rd Gen GS forum and have found nothing comparable. If I was close to where he was, I think that I would have him build a similar exhaust for my GS460.

Does anyone have a picture of the factory exhaust for a GS460? I would like to compare the set-up to the stock IS-F, to see how similar they are. I wonder if a Joe-Z could be modified to fit a GS? Anyone else with a true dual on their GS460?

can't you just get the Joe Z exhaust and just use the mufflers and not the piping.. any exhaust shop can easily weld it on to the GS

sure the mounting might be different, but that's nothing a few weld won't fix

I am having one mfg for my GS

it will be less to just have one custom made since there are no options that compare to a true dual exhaust.

Im quite sure it can be done. I just successfully completed my dual exhaust modification. I re-used the OEM tips from my 997

I sent Joe a PM about the possibility of using his IS exhaust on the GS. Ideally, it would only require lengthening the midpipes and hangers. Unfortunately, the mufflers he uses for his exhaust are meant to fit into the IS-F dual exhaust tips that fasten to the bumper. Those exhaust tips are one of two reasons that I got the GS instead of the IS-F. The tips of the Joe-Z exhaust would look really bad under the bumper of a GS.

Maybe custom is the way to go. Anybody have a recommendation for a custom exhaust shop in South Florida?

^ you could use his ISx50 exhaust exhaust and customize it. I was going to do the same thing myself but then what all the shops wanted to charge in IL I changed my mine. All the research I did showed cost to be less to go full custom.

The JoeZ ISx50 exhaust doesnt carry the dual tips so its more what you are looking for. So cutting and extending is pretty much what you would need a shop to do. Any exhaust shop can do this. I heard it sounds great on the ISF so if you have a V8 in your GS its should sound similar.

Another option where you are located since you dont deal with salt on the roads from winter is the aluminized steel. Its much less and you can get a full exhaust mandrel bent for 400$. I was tempted to do it myself but the salt on the roads in the winter would eat it up in no time. I went full SS for this reason. No one will see it but I didnt want to pay to have it redone in 2 years or less.

PS I did have my car on a lift and got to see the path. Its very similar but will require some mods not only to the exhaust but the heat shields if you where to use the ISx50 exhaust. I think this is the easiest or best option unless you to full custom.

I know it's not a Joe Z exhaust, but one exhaust that i am pretty close to pulling the trigger on is the Tanabe Medallion touring. I will post pics when i get it, not too loud they say.

The IS-F JoeZ exhaust has a single tip ... so it may be possible to use it

I am one desperate GS460 owner looking for aftermarket mufflers. My OEM pipes are ridiculous.. I want something a bit sportier to fill the rear bumper!
