i want to put xenon instead of my current halogen lights and i want the same xenon as the oem headlamps, theres also anther thing the drl's are halogen so is there a way to install xenon without cutting the base.

I believe you'll lose DRL functionality switching to Xenon, since DRL uses half power to light the halogen bulbs. Also, you'll lose the ability to flash people since the xenons will take to long to power up to get the desired effect.

 

Don't switch the DRL to HIDs.

And yes you can buy HID kits to convert your low beam and fogs if you want to.

 

I'm thinking of making a DRL/parking light official thread cause these are popping up left and right.

there are people putting relays on the DRL so it pushes full power when in DRL mode. i don't know what's the case when switched to high beams

either way it's not something i'd do anyway

 

Where can I get these relays you speak of ? That sounds like an interesting mod...

 

umm maybe check with xenon depot? i read it from some other forums, i'd expect companies should carry them

 

oh i was confused... I thought u were saying they make a relay for the halogen bulbs for the DRL...

I have left the DRL stuff alone because I hear you lose the high beam, and with the xenon fogs I have heard of some members having issue with reliability
