Default Gs 350/450/460

Hey guys I need your help. I know this was probably brought up before but i would really like your input. I have a 00 gs400 that i would like to upgrade to the third gen. The problem is I don't know which one i would like to get. I am used to the power of the v8 but the v6's seem to be pretty fast as well. I would like to know what is your opinion of all of these models (pros/cons) and which one would be the better pick. 350/450/460.

thank you advance

350 is faster than the 400 number wise, but tq feel is not as good as the v8 (i had gs400, sc430, and now gs350). so if you love the tq feel, 450 or 460 is the car you want. otherwise, the 350 is plenty fast for less money

450 is actually using the same engine as 350(the V6 3.5L), so I dont think the tq feel would be better than 350, and the bettery only produce hp but no tq. :-)

i've test drove the 350, and i find it slow compared to the 450h. with the hybrid system, your TQ is almost instant.

The electric motor on the 450 produce tons of torque off the line.

Sorry, but you this backward. Electric motors produces much more torque than gasoline engines. So, the other poster is correct, get the 450, or 460 if torque is high on the wish list.

Yes, instant torque of the electric motor

I would go for the GS450h personally because it's the only version of the 3GS that has something special and unique compared to other cars in the same class.

yeah, you gotta be kidding me. the tq from the electric motor is like nothing else. the whole system puts the 350 to shame

Oh, my bad. I never test drive a 450 and cuz I only look at the spec online, it shows that 450 has only 267nm(gas engine only). Thats why I thought bettery doesnt produce tq

Ha, thats what Im thinking. I tested drive a 460 before, which one you like more?460 450? The transmission really push me away, otherwise I'll certainly get the 450 due to the fuel consumption.

imho (not trying to offend anyone) the gs460 is a disappointment and i will not get that car. 340hp is nothing given this engine, when we know it's pushing 380 in the ls460. the 8 speed is ok, i drove my ls460l just fine

the 450h (especially with apsss) is really something else, in the power mode it's a totally different animal. the gas mileage is a big big plus. on the other hand the cvt is somewhat funny. not that it's bad, it's smooth (coz' no shifting) but it just sounds funny. probably just need some getting used to

overall, i'd pick 450h
