What I've read on here, HKS will drone at cruising speeds. If that's your thing, go for it. If you want a subtle sounding system at normal driving speeds, get the Tanabe. Or you could also wait for the F-sport exhaust.

Yah, a humming noise that will resonate inside the cabin.

Not entirely sure if this will help you; but on my SC300, I had dual HKS exhausts with 3" piping from the downpipe down. It is loud at lower RPMs, but the sound dies down when you're at a constant idle lower than 3500 (freeway cruising).

Although it does die down, you still hear the "droning sound" that resonates throughout the cabin of the car. I'm not sure how the interior of the 3GS is in terms of sound proofing, but it should be better than the SC3.

Question to you is: Can you deal with a loud exhaust on a Luxury car that's meant to be quiet? If yes, then go for it. If no, then forego the exhaust and wait until you have enough money for a real sports car to mod.

Modding never ends haha.

We carry Tanabe and HKS exhausts if you have any questions on them.
