Door control
Hey guys,
I am a newbe to this forum and a new lexus owner (2008 GS350). In the last year I got into a minor accident and am tyring to get everything done on my own. All the work is done and I have my beauty back but one thing is still wrong. For some reason the Door control Module (part #89740-30091) got damaged and is not working. I can start the car but I cannot lock/unlock my car or do anything else with the remote. The car says "key not detected". I am avoiding going to the dealer because I know he i going to charge me an arm and a leg for the module and the reprograming.
What I am hoping to do is get another module (maybe used) and then reprogram my remote to work with that module. I was hoping someone could guild me in this. First, will this work or am I doomed to waste money at the dealer. Second, if it will work, does anyone have the instructions on how to reprogram the remote yourself.
