150 to 200 is a fair price imo..

it would've been fun if i was mechanically inclined and had the right tools. i love DIY infos.

If its AWD let someone do it for you. The install on the front is a pain compared to the RWD model. Took us twice as long as it should have but in the end it was worth it! Good thing another local member stopped over that had done his AWD. We may still be at it!!!

I was quoted 399 by dynocomp in town. The Lexus dealership charged 700 the first time around

That's basically the dealership stealing money. Their hourly rate is not nearly high enough to charge that kind of price for something they are probably able to do in 2 hours. I plan on writing the GM of my dealership and telling them that I wasn't happy being quoted a price that was well above their labor costs.

Good luck on getting a positive response back.

installation cost is so regional, it's pointless to ask here since the range is going to be so different. you are better off ask in your regional forum where members from around your area can give you a better idea and possibly recommend some good shops.

I am doing mine this weekend. (coils) I did my IS300 also but would like to have a DIY thread to go off of.

Is there a DIY thread or just some key things to know about the GS300/350 RWD when dropping it??

1. Have to split the wishbone to get the suspension out in the front: check

2. Don't touch the AFS: check

Anything else??

There is no DIY. The RWD is much easier then the AWD. The front you do need to split the wish bone to get the suspension out.

If you did springs before you will be fine My IS350 was the same as the GS430. Same bolts and everything I had to do.
