Default Just venting....

Well spring time is here, so i put the chrome 20's back on yesterday, Don't get me wrong, i love the rims and my car, just a little disappointed in the stance and look at stock height with AWD. Even if i had the 430 at stock height with 20's it would look better i think. I just don't want to deal with the issues of vibrations and problems if I lower the car. I have always lowered all my cars with rims, so this is something new for me, i mean, it doesn't look bad, still looks sexy with blk on blk with blk tint and chrome wheels, i just know that is more potential for the car. Oh well, I guess i'll just keep waiting until something comes out. I really wanna keep the car for the next 5-6 years so trading it in is really not an option, i wanted a GS since I was 16 and ten year later I finally got a new one. Just venting.

yea i understand your frustration and thats one of the reasons why i havent put wheels on my GS yet because imo it doesnt look right not lowered. every car i have had also has been lowered when i added wheels.

BC is putting out coilovers for the AWD GS if your interested. They should be ready for production in about 2 months.

I will definitely be interested in the Coilovers, i just hope the vibration will not be there, I heard the Road Magnet were supposed to be made for the AWD GS, but still there is issues.

road magnet did release springs.

BC is picking up a members car in a few days and using that car for R&D for these coilovers.

Yeah I feel you man. I would just wait till a spring/coilover comes out that is not having the issues. You might have to wait a while but it will be worth it!

I bet you were happy to have that ground clearance in the snow, cant have it both ways, unless you get air suspension.

Good point Gman, my GS tore up the snow this winter, no problems at all. If I do lower it, I'll do what I did when I had my Grand Prix dropped, Just call in sick, LOL

Any pics with your rims on the car and how it sits? It might not be too bad.

I posted a pic on how it looks right now at stock height. I still love the set up. Just wish it was a little lower.

Yup, i used the Eibach Pro Kit, i think it was a 1.7 drop. Problem was, they were only 18's, and the Pontiac has a huge gap. It would have looked right with 20's and that drop. However, I didn't want to buy new rims, I wanted to get the new ones for the GS.
