Default Pop Trunk problem

anyone have trouble with their trunk not opening? i tried to open it with the button on the inside by hand and the button on the alarm, the only way i can get it open is with the key. whats the problem?

Check the "valet only" button in the glovebox first.

Second suggestion there is a TSIB for some '06 GS300 and GS430 vehicles on trunk motor malfunction (bulletin # is BO001-06), not sure what year your GS is without looking at your profile.

My wife has a odd habit of hitting the button in the glove box. Not sure how she's doing it but she's complained of the exact same problem a few times and it's always been the button in the glove box.

there was an issue with my 2nd gen where sometimes if the car was unlocked it would not open by the button on the alarm, so I would have to lock the car, then proceed to use the button
