sirus/ satellite /gps?

what is this big black thing can i remove this and still use gps?

I believe that's the antenna for the satellite radio. As far as I know, the GPS uses a different antenna. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong though.

Yes that is the sirius ant.
We had that on our IS and it fell off twice and completly failed about 1000 miles into a trip.
There is an adapter to connect the sirius to the sharkfin that we had done and it worked much better.
Yes we did have the nav as well.

Search on the IS250/350 forum and you should find the thread about the fitting.

yeah that should be the sirius antenna. definitely not gps
