Default My 1st 5000 Miles

Having spent some time the last few months reading about the negative experiences that some of you have had with your ride thought i might share some positive news. I have had my car since November put 5000 miles on her and we have had one of the coldest winters on Long Island in many years. Lots of snow and ice. I have had no rattles, no squeeky breaks no dash noises and no complaints. I still enjoy getting into the car every morning for my drive to work and my drive home. Took the car on a 600 mile trip upstate New York a few weeks ago and the highway cruise was fantastic. I think this is one of the finest cars i have ever owned and ive owned most of the popular european cars at one time or another. I have never owned the "Perfect" car i think every car has its short commings and you either accept it for what it is and enjoy it or get rid of it an move on to the next set of wheels. So far i am enjoying it

I'm really glad you posted this. I think people get too caught up by short comings, and some of the people this site draws come here just to complain.

For me it has been the perfect 7,000 miles. My GS is a dream, it has had NO rattles. The only downside is that I've been rear ended twice! Once around 4000 and again at 6000. Its just too pretty, they all get distracted. But the shop Lexus recommended was fabulous, the paint matches better than before!

ejvette, glad to hear you are enjoying your GS. The GS is a fantastic car, especially for highway cruising.

I have to agree we've had our GS for 4000 miles now and it's been amazing. Way better in the snow than any other car my wife's had and the overall experience of driving it makes up for any short comings it may have.

Nice to hear that your car has been good. My 07 GS350 has almost 40K now, and I still enjoy it more then anything.
