Default HID foglight Need HELP

I installed HID foglights on my car, but they won't come on now. Its pretty simple just plug the HID ballast to the original foglight bulb socket and plug in the bulb. Is there something special that I need to do beside that. Does the foglight run a different amount of watts or something. Please Help if you had ran into this problem. These are new HID btw

Check your fuses, most likely you have a burned fuse.

first of all try to plug in the original halogen bulb and see if it works, if not, you fried the fuse. like kevin said, stock is probably 20amp (if they have one fuse for both fogs), up that to 25amp should do it

if that's not the case, then probably you have the power terminals swapped.

I installed them on my GS and they are reversed (+/-). Put the plug in backwards and they will work

edit: tape the plug or zip tie it so they dont come loose and you get moisture in them.

Thanks i swap the plug on the ballast since that one has a rubber boot on it so moisture won't get into it. Thanks for all the HELP CL members are the best.

a lot of times one side of the plug you can pull the wire out and swap them. just need to know the trick on how to disengage the clip

Is this a good idea?? Would there be any issue if your fog light is too bright?

I will have to look at them next time I have it on the lift. I think the tech that helped me checked but I am not 100% sure. I got them from Cliff @ MobileHID. I have to install the front lip this coming week so I can check them to see.

cool, maybe cliff knows the trick too

on couple of my previous hid kits, i recall when looking inside the plug, there is a very little "hole" where the lead comes out. by sticky in a very small flathead, it will disengage the clip

but of course things can be different
