Default New Brakes for the squeeking!

UPDATE 1: So after being in a loaner (ES350) Im happy to be back in my GS. Not that the ES is a bad car in anyway but I prefer my GS =)

So they gave me new rotors and pads. I no longer hear squeeks but Ive only had the car for an hour or so. I guess time will tell. Also the dash rattling has gone away(crossing my fingers). They did leave a small chip/scratch mark. The plastic peice thats right under the NAV, that covers the clock. The corner is scratched and slightly chipped. Do you think they'll replace this for me?

So this morning I went to drop off the car at the dealer for the dash rattles and suspension noise and my service rep tells me that the parts are finally in!

Im not sure what the part number is but once I get my car back I will post it.

Supposedly im getting new rotors and new pads? thats what I was told.

Waited two months for back order parts for my dash rattles. I finally came in this morning to pick up my car. Test drove the car with tech and front dash rattles were gone but back dash has rattles now & rear park sensors still going off when put in reverse. They stated that they change two park rear sensors but will look into more since it's still acting up. Back to the loaner again and the waiting begin once more....

CAN'T COMPLAIN THO...THEY VOUCH FOR MY WARRANTY EVEN THO I HAVE 51K MILES ON MY CAR.... PARK PLACE LEXUS IS GREAT !!!

new pads, yes, new rotors, not sure. all they need to do is to re-surface the rotors, unless it's badly worn (which is hard to believe on a 08 car)

i recall Park Place Lexus replaced my front pads 'coz it was causing excessive amount of brake dusts. but now i'm having dash rattles when weather is below 35 degrees, gotta have to bring the car in again.

Well, this thread is certainly interesting. You said had "parts for your dash rattles" - Can you tell us what parts these were exactly? - I have not heard of this before, but if they have a part for this, I'd like to hear about it.

Sounds like what I had done. They told me the TSIB is in, I went there, didn't get the TSIB, but left with breaks no longer squealing. I think some place are just sick of hearing about it and doing the work that should have been done for us from the get go.

funny, you want more squeak and dust? brembo brakes with aggressive pads probably squeak more easily

i never knew honda has good brakes on their passenger cars, always on the weak side. if you talk about big brakes, i hear people complain about squeaking on g35 and 350z (brembo), sti, evo, etc...
