Default Removing front license plate

Hey guys,
unfortunately my car came from the dealer with the ugly front license plate attached. I know there are plugs out there, but I also heard that a few members on here got the holes covered and fixed to look as if they were never there. I am in orange county, CA, I was wondering if anyone knows of a dealer that might do a good job and perhaps a price quote on it. Thanks!

you are gonna pay way too much for a dealer to paint it for you

I'll wait for Rominl to recommend you a shop around OC. It's a very simple fix if you are willing to repaint your bumper. Usually will run about 350+ or so.

yeah, to do what you describe, you basically need to take your car to body shop, fill the holes, and repaint the whole bumper. that's too much money just to cover the holes, i would have just done the plugs and call it a day

i don't know of any good shops in OC personally. i used to go to a shop in south el monte. another shop i used previously that is very good is sixteen custom in gardena. and yes, 300-400 to repaint the bumper sounds about right, which doesn't make sense in this case imho

At last check, not having a front license plate in CA is illegal and will cost you a few hundred bucks in tickets ... Just FYI.

Ive been driving around for 8 years without a front license plate before the GS and ive never gotten pulled over once. When my older brother bought his M5 he made sure they didnt mount a license plate on his car and he hasnt gotten pulled over for the last 4 years. I see a lot of the higher end cars get away with it. I think ill probably end up going with the plugs. I have a black gs so hopefully itll be less noticeable. Thanks rominl

No license plate fine in CA is $40. My wife got a few in her TL. BTW a good excuse is telling the Cop(s) your waiting for the plates to come in the mail from DMW. It worked everytime I used that one.
