what is the offset of the rims. if your roads can handle 22" and the offset is there go for it. It will look good. 19" is the best for where I live because of the roads.

^ why would it rub with the 8.5? really its all about the tires at that point. I thought there was another post in here as of recent with 22's on it? I dont see there being any issue other then I would be too afraid to drive on the road and damage them. I personally would go with 19" for a DD.

i am riding 245/30zr22 front and 285/20zr22 in the rear. i do not rubb at all unless i hit a big dip. i did a lot of work on the car in order for those wheels to tuck in perfect with no rubbing .

i had to shave my front and rear fenders all the way down. i used two part plastic weld to hold my rear and front bumpers on. so no more bolts because thats what my tires where rubbing on. i cut for a couple of days till all the rubbing was gone.

if they are 22 they need to be for the GS. Was your friends car a 3GS as well??? 22 is to big to start with aggressive offsets

well as for the front i wanted to keep the rubber this on the fender on so i shaved the front fenders ,removed the wheel wells, i also shaved a few more things in the front that were sticking out or that was in the way when the wheel will go in. for the rear i rolled the fenders and shaved a few screws that were close to my tires behind the body as well as the rear bumper brackets..

I dont think they will clear your brake caliper. Check that first, you could always run small tires and neg camber to counter rubbing

What did you do? I just got a set today I don't know how wide they are but the tires are 255/30/22 and I'm rubbing my strut a little in the front and really rubbing fender well.. Was going to go with 235/30/22 if that will help but don't want to waste money on them if it will still be an issue
