nop. when the car is moving (bluetooth connected) and the phone rings, no caller ID will show up. it's only when stop that the caller ID shows up.

need some clarification on this point - does the override kit automatically show the caller ID, or do you need to hit the navi switch each and every time you start your car (to enable this function)? thx

Hmmm, I alway see who is calling. I'll double check this today. It just doesnt make sense b/c even RDS info (radio titles) is displayed while moving IF available of course.

hitting the navi button will enable override, but that also freezes you cursor. you can't have it on all the time coz' the nav won't route you. it's just an on/off switch and you need to toggle it.

and yes, i need to hit the navi button and the caller id shows up

sure try it again when the car is moving (>10mph). caller ID never shows up for me, whether they are in the car phonebook or not. same case with my friend's 2is and 3gs. but if you see otherwise, that'd be interesting to see why

regarding the RDS, i mean, it's up to lexus to block anything they want. i think we can all agree lexus is blocking too many things

if you order the override kit from prestigious society, they will give you a step by step guide with colored pictures on how to install the kit

You've seen this right? https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=317601

if by installation you mean the final position of the switch, there are a couple of examples in this thread. I have mine the same place as rominl, passenger side near the ashtray against the leather side piece. convenient for me to get to but not so obviously visible to anybody else. Look at post # 58 for a pic.
