Default Navi Override ?s

I've been reading about the navi overrides for my 2007 RX, both DIY and commercial kit solution. The do it yourself mod requires a wire run to the dvd system in the rear. Do the PS/BS kits require this, too? This is 90% of the battle seems to me and might as well go fully DIY.

I think the switches on both the PS and BS kits are hideous. Wondering how difficult it would be to mod the kits to use two on-off rocker switches in the two blank slots I have.

be careful, the BS kit doesnt work on the Navigation bypass....The switch position you talk about would be possible...

The navigation bypass on the ML system doesnt allow entering addresses etc......sorry at least on the BS kit.

Hello there,

Our Beat-Sonic Kits do work with the navigation bypass. However, some of our navigation bypass models limits the bypass time to 30 seconds.

Unfortunately, the Beat-Sonic NT3712 Navigation and DVD Control Bypass Module Combo for your 2007 RX has the 30 second limitation on the navigation bypass as stated on the website. After 30 seconds of bypass time, you will need to press the button again to disengage the bypass, wait 2 seconds and then press the button to engage the bypass to continue where left off.

However, you can have the DVD/bluetooth bypassed all the time without affecting factory controls except for hybrid models- the wheels will stop turning on the energy screen. If you don't have the hybrid model or do not mind the wheels not turning on the energy screen on your hybrid model, you won't have to deal with any switches when you want to bypass your DVD player and the bluetooth system because it will be active all the time.

Here is also a thread about how one of our customers changed our switch to a rocker switch due to it looking more OEM: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/6071610-post71.html

The NT3712 product link: http://www.beatsonicusa.com/beat-son...ss-module.html

Please let me know if you have any questions.

30 seconds of activation cycles is kind of a deal killer. I would buy it otherwise.
