Bypassing outside running lights?
I recently bought my first lexus....a 2007 GS 350. I would like to know how to bypass the outside running lights and forgo paying the dealership to do it for me. If anyone could help that would great.

Why do you have to pay dealership for that? I thought it was part of setup customization which is complimentary? I think the whole big deal with Lexus and DRL is a safety requirement. Just like "accept" on NAV or not being able to use dial touchpad or view mp3 file list while driving or fugly yellow spare
The later one they won't do for you. But disabling DRL should be free if you ask them or maybe tell them you can sign a waiver or something like that. Otherwise, just flip on your low beams and drive around with night lights during the day (turns DRL off)

Customization is offered free one time only within 12 months of ownership. I encountered the same situation as the OP after purchasing a 15 month old GS350. The local dealer wanted $105 to change one of the programmed functions.
