noise in shock or something else.
maybe someone would have an idea about this. since yesterday i think i am hearing a noise in the shock or if not its something else. while i am driving if i hit a smooth bump or a wave kinda bump i will hear a slight sound of air coming out of my driver side shock i believe. i never payed attention if it was like that ever since i put the wheels on, but now every time i drive i try to listen to it . it is a very veryy light sound of air. i don't know if its normal or not . i will still go and have it checked out by my mechanic. if someone has any info please let me know, thanks
I would have it checked out at the dealership. They can figure it out. I am wondering if the increase weight on the wheels may have blown a shock. what kind of mileage do you have on the car?? Does the car feel floaty or less responsive? do you drive the car hard?
i have 6000 miles on the car and i drive reallly careful. i am like extra careful when i drive. the car feels fine to me i cant tell a difference but i know i am hearing something. i don't know if its smart to go in to the dealership with aftermarket wheels on . what do you think ?
i don't want them telling me oh you have aftermarket wheels on we cant cover your warranty or some****..
by the way if the shock was blown wouldn't i hear more of a noise than a light hiss after taking a bump ?

I have the same noise. I narrowed it down to the hood. Try pressing on the front of your hood and each side of the car (driver and passenger) near the headlight. See if that gives you the noise you are hearing.
