Did my first oil change on my 2008 GS 350 and after reading many posts on CL, then travelling to several auto parts stores I finally found the magic device to easily and quickly remove the oil filter. Autozone sells a metal filter removal cap that absolutely fits perfectly. It's made by OEM and is called 'Oil Filter "F" Cap Wrench'. Cost was $5.99 and it worked beautifully.

 

Thanks for the info. A lot cheaper than OEM filter wrenches mentioned in earlier posts.
