If you look under your side mirror(s) you will see that there is light that suppose to turn on when you open doors (like on some german cars). But I could not find how to turn it on. Lexus either forgot to finish this feature or I need to do something to make it work ?

I'm not sure if 06 - 07 models have this though, but if you have an 08 model you should have it.

 

they are puddle lights, they light up when you walk next to your car (only when doors are locked)

i noticed they also turned on at night when you unlocked the doors?

when I was adjusting my coilovers I noticed it also and was like "what If I wire it for indicators" but then I remembered they where puddle lights...lol

 

it's part of the entry light.. it's not when it's unlocked, it's when you are in a close proximity to the side mirrors, they'll light up
