Unhappy 2008 GS 350 with AVS?

Hi, I'm in the market for a 08 GS 350 RWD fully loaded (Nav., ML, etc..)with AVS. I have a great connection with a guy here in Louisiana and he has been searching for a silver or starfire/black 350 with AVS in the southern region for about 2-3 weeks with no avail. I am just wondering is that a hard combo to find everywhere in a 350 or just in the southern area of the US. I think i got a pretty good price for LA, 47,500 on sticker price 52,900 for a silver/black with everything but AVS. I really want AVS but he told me that if I order one the dealership will be way less flexible on the price. What do you guys think? I test drove a 460 with AVS but I really dont know if the difference was the weight of the car, run flats, or AVS that changed the characteristics of the car. Please help I going back to the dealer today and would like to know your opinions.

welcome to CL. gs350 with nav ad ML is ok, but avs is going to be an hard option to find on the gs. usually it only comes with gs460 or 450h. so far i have seen maybe 1-2 gs350 with that option

imho avs gives you marginal gain on handling, but not night and day

Thanks! I picked up the silver/black this evening and if its a marginal handling gain I don't think that it would have been worth the wait or additional cost because of the dealer not wanting to take as much off of the sticker. I did get then to sell me the 7yr./100000 extended warranty for 1,000 dollars because they weren't able to get the car we wanted.

wow, you picked up your car fast! congrats and officially welcome to lexus family!

coming from a modify world, i personally think if you want better handling, put on a set of coilovers and the gain is a lot more noticeable

Coilovers is definitely the way to go.. Probably one of few very worthwhile mods on this particular car.
