Ever forget to turn the car off?
My old car had a regular key + responder alarm that chirped when I walk away. It was easy, turn the car off with the key in hand and walk away. Car would lock, turn off (if I left it on-
), close the windows and I never had to worry.
With the GS more than once I’ve gotten out of the car and realized that it’s still on. I’ve even walked into a store on a busy street to discover the car turn on & still there when I get back.
Yeah, it freaked me out that I can be that absent minded but I’m still used to my old car, has anyone done this?

I've more than once turned off the engine but left the electrical system (i.e. radio) on (I guess because my foot wasn't on the brake when I pressed the off button). Never got out with the engine still running, though.
i never forget to turn off the car. the whole concept hasn't changed from the old days with the keys. old days, you have to turn the key to shut it off. now you have to press a button
My wife has done this a couple of times driving my car but I wrote it off as she's not used to it because she drives a Navigator which doesn't have Push to Start / Fob. I gave her a hard time about it.
thats nothin...the worst thing i did was start pumping gas, my cell starting ringing, so i left the pump pumping...and when the conversation was over on the cell...i just drove off and ripped the nozzle out of the pump!!
i felt like a huge dumbass lol

you talk on cell phone at a gas station when pumping, that's more dumb

I've done it once before, I didn't realize until I tried to arm the alarm by pushing the door handle.
The funniest thing is my wife who is spoiled by the keyless start. She leaves the house and assume that if she has her purse, she has her keys...which can lead to some funny mornings.

You're both right - it was that the car wasn't in park yet. Now I remember - I left it with the parking attendant. Not only was the radio still on, but the car started to roll as soon as I got out
(which means my foot WAS on the brake while I was still in the car). It was the first week I got the car.
I've never forgot to turn off my car before, but I have forgotten to grab my work keys before. I sometimes have my Lexus key all by itself because it's rather big and one day I took my Lexus instead of my Audi to work and just grabbed the Lexus key. Got all the way to work to realize that I didn't have the keys to my work and couldn't get in, so drove all the way home to pick up my store keys. That was a fun morning.
