How does your GS smell?
Is there anyway to "recharge" or bring back that new car smell? It's been 18 months since I got my ride. I wash my car regularly and and still smells semi new. I think conditioning the leather helps, but I'm wondering if you guys have any tricks. I've seen the product from Griots where you spray it on your mats and it's suppose to make your car smell "new". Any other tricks?

HAHAHAHAHAHA
this is the most ASIAN post i have seen here on ClubLexus
I opened up the area where the spare tire is on my 08 that has only 12k miles on it. Smelled gross. To me smells like something dead, but it must be some plastic giving off the gas. Couldn't find anything in there, just really clean and new looking. I will be airing it out this weekend to see if it goes away.

For me, I just clean and condition my leather seats with Lexol Leather cleaner and Lexol Leather conditioner. It gives off a fresh leather scent that is probably much less damaging than sniffing your car's glue.
The new car smell is a mixture of plasticizers, vaporized plastics and vinyls, glues, and an amalgam of things. To recapture that smell a bit, you need to thoroughly clean your interior, turn on the A/C to circulate the air, and leave your car in the hot sun and let it 'bake' a little.

The place where I get my supplies also carries this stuff...
