correct, at 1k there shouldn't be any oil change needed. only free oil change is at 5k by the book

What brand and grade to use? Mobile 1, Panzoil, Royal Blue...etc? 5w-30?

Actually, I've owned 3 Lexui and have always changed my oil at my local Tires Plus. - I know the guys there and get charged about $20 a change and they put in Valvoline 5w-30. I follow the Mfgrs recommendations and have never had a problem.

I would suggest saving your $$$

In all my vehicles including 2 Lexi, I have used/use Mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic (not the extended performance formula). It costs ~$22 for a 5 quart jug at Wal-Fart. Can't go wrong. I do the oil and filter changes myself.
